Hi There,

Over the weekend I installed an electric radiator on my landing, which involved replacing a single gang socket with a timeguard timed spur... simple enough. However there was very little slack in the wires from the ring main and as the timeguard switch was bulkier and required a spacer between the switch face and the back box I had a hell of a game getting the wires into the terminals. The was further compounded by a spur coming off the socket to my shower pump so required three wires in each terminal. After much swearing I eventually got them in and tight and everything is working nicely, but in hindsight I was wondering if I should go back in with those 4 way push connectors, put the three wires (2 ring and shower pump spur) into them and run a single short wire to the fused spur i was fitting. What do you guys think? or leave everything alone. I guess now the spur is fitted to the wall there wont be as much, if any tension as when i was trying to see and get a screwdriver in to get the wires tight?
