:unsure:OK I bought a new AMS clock when on France. It was set at French time.

Drilled hole to put on wall this morning.

Mrs Bod looked at manual on how to set BST.

Take battery out for 1 minute then put it back in and it will use DCF signal to change to correct time.

It does its thing and all hands go round at an extra fast speed until it gets to the correct time. Unfortunately for me it's French correct time.

Surely it's using the local DCF signal.

Take it back and ask for a UK one.

Once reset, leave it for several hours. It should eventually change to the local time.

The DCF time signal is for main land Europe and is GMT+1. For the UK you need the MSF time signal which is GMT

The DCF is transmitted on 77.5 kHz and the MSF is transmitted on 60 kHz

There might be a way to alter the tuning from the DCF time signal to the MSF time signal.

There may be a switch labelled 77 - 60 to select MSF or DCF

I believe the data formats are the same.

Ask the makers how to set it to Lisbon time.

There are no switches and no resets. Looks like our kitchen is on french time from nowvo
