In a 3 storey house I need to fit a grade A LD2 alarm system. Mains connected grade D currently exists in the correct locations so those detectors can be switched easily; it's wireless so minimal wiring.

Any advice for how to get this sorted as low cost as possible? Happy to receive quotes (NW London).

I see wired connections are much cheaper but wireless is a lot less work especially as it won't be easy to get the interlink cable across the three floors to each alarm.

The best way is to find local companies that do free quotations.

I do have someone I work with from time to time that does fire in that area but not sure on exact coverage if you drop me your details via pm I can pass your details on.

However you want value for money surely not just cheap?

There is a minimal risk that the wireless connection can be compromised by products of combustion ( soot and smoke from burning furniture ).

( from radio paging surveys and trials in the 1980's )

Risk could be similar to a fire rated cable being compromised by fire and cutting the alarm
