I had the same symptoms and went to the doctor who said I was ok. A few days later I had a severe heart attack and ended up in treliske hospital.
it was diabetes that led to the heart attack.
living in cornwall you are doomed

If your local GP surgery is anything like mine......I wouldn't bother.

The WAIT for an appointment will kill ya....

Your first post... here's hoping it's your last!

from what you've described, it could even be diabetes... i'm surprised no one has suggested it thus far!!!!

Another possible cause could be a kidney infection. If your ankles are starting to swell it means your body is retaing fluid, this could be because your kidneys are allowing a protien called Albumin to pass through. Albumin helps strengthen cell walls and if they become weak they allow the fluid in your blood to separate and seep through the veins. It then collects between the body tissues and causes swelling. If left the swelling will only get worse, the tiredness is because your kidneys are not functioning properly, (think how people on dyalisis feel before they get treatment). Don't be fobbed off, if he tells you to put your feet up and rest take no notice.
I am not trying to alarm you Rich but take it from someone who has been there and still has the remnants of this after 5 years. I was given the runaround till I saw another GP. He got the ball rolling and things have drastically improved but still got a bit to go.
Don't dismiss it. Get it sorted and sorted quickly.
Good Luck and let us know how you get on.

doctor martian now.....

surely if you have a health problem... use the people that know,,, not a site that presumes....

well if it was that important... they would see the quack.... and not discuss on a public forum... but hey ho... each to there own.

doctor martian now.....

..

who rattled your cage?

it was actually a bit of fun because everyone else and their dog has said diabetes, and got their knickers in a twist because no one acknowledged anyone else saying it...

Jeez this site is full of bad tempered people....

Lighten up Geraint ffs!
