When I turn on the toaster it suddenly switches off. Went to electric box and pushed the lever back. Sorry no nothing about electrics. What's wrong? The oven next to toaster doesn't turn on. The clock's working and hob but not main part

It would be useful to know what is tripping (photo?) but it sounds like the RCD.
Don't bin the toaster, yet........
Unplug it, empty the crumb tray and have a look in the slots. There may be a bit of bread, or a currant stuck in there.
Clear it all out and hopefully it'll all be OK.
Replace it if it's still faulty.

Also on my oven, after a power cut it will not operate.
To make my oven start working I have to Set the Time on the oven.
