I have a toilet to replace the bolts and flush valve on. The fill valve is ok. Would you recommend swapping the fill valve whilst there or just leave that? Thanks

Lets be honest, if it's ok then there's no real need to change. Of course, that doesn't mean it won't go faulty tomorrow or next year or last another 5.

If you need to disconnect the water supply to the fill valve and its got a plastic thread, it may be worth swapping it for a new one with a brass shank. The plastic threaded shanks are very easy to cross thread and can be difficult to get leak free if the thread is damaged.
