Hi
I am trying to bring an old outside toilet back into use urgently (mum visiting soon and can't climb stairs and we don't have a downstairs toilet). I am looking for a standard toilet seat. I've done a lot of Googling but I don't think the standard adjustable ones will fit because there is very little surface around the bolt holes for the base of the hinge to secure to?

Are you aware of a seat that will fit this type of bowl? I think the sizes are imperial, but bolt centres are approx. 165mm, width 345mm and length 430 (centre of bolt holes to front.

Thanks
Darren

Thanks jj4091, but I don't think that will fit. The ones with adjustable hinges all need a bit of space around the bolt hole for the circular adjuster to sit on and there isn't enough porcelain on this bowl at the back and sides of the hole. Instead they hang over the edge and don't secure properly. I've already bought one universal fitting one that won't fit, so I think I need one with fixed hinge distance, but I can't seem to find one.

OP,
There are lots of specialists who do seats and seat fixings etc. - they are all expensive.
Make a cardboard template of the total perimeter of the pan lip - be exact & show the bolt holes.
Transfer the template on to say a sheet of brown paper - include your details & the name of the WC, and mail it to a supplier you've picked.
