A few weeks ago I posted on here about my tale of woe regarding a plumber I trusted, took my money and did a runner not finishing the job, namely reconnecting a new radiator. Thank you for everyone advice.

Anyway he has appeared to have left me with another issue - poor or none existent flushing of the toilet waste. The toilet constantly blocks even with the minimal of waste. I have used a plunger down it and I get back splash form the separate basin. Also when it is blocked if I run the basin taps air gurgles up the bottom of the toilet. The toilet pan connector is a fixed one and I cant remove it has he siliconed the toilet base to the tiles.

Would it be worth cutting the pan connector off, checking the waste pipe under the floor and replace it with a flexi slinky pipe?

Am I talking utter rubbish (I often do) but could the existing fixed pan connector be too long and pushing against the waste channel. (dont laugh if I am talking utter, ermm toilet waste lol)

Worst thing you can do is replace a fixed pan connector with a flexi. Although it may solve your issue of splash back in the short term if you do, as the chances are the Flexi will simply pop out the soil pipe when you attempt to plunge the Pan, and empty the contents of the WC and associated pipework all over the floor instead.

Need a bit more information please, is this a Ground floor/first floor WC, where does the soil pipe go, etc, photos' (of said Toilet) may also be of assistance to us.
