watching news show (Good Morning America)....seems a 62 year old grandmother of 9 children and 20 grandchildren has recently given birth to a healthy little baby girl.

Do you think there is such a thing as "too old"? Logistically speaking...?

I think giving birth at that age is a stupid and selfish thing to do, the chances of that girl being motherless early, is very high.

TOTALY IRRESPONSIBLE SELFISH BEHAVIOUR.

were all different, if this lady has had a baby it must be ok, easy to judge int it. :D

the Gift of Life for a couple is a wonderful thing but some just spew them out for benefit claims

69er
saw a good prog the other night on BBC3 called "Wedding Stories"

it follows different people upto an on the day of their weddings ,

well they had a right typical state funded doleite/spongers on it

where all were on EVERY benefit ...an expected it as a RIGHT !!!

was very funny how gross they were ...
3 generations an none had ever worked
BUT it was their God given right too sponge off the tax payer an was very proud of this fact ,strangely enough ,
the big fat daughter married the skin yob boyfriend an as the sarcastic presenter said ,
they will be churning out the next generation on benefit ..

it showed another young lass with a son
who wanted to marry her b/f as she had just lost her job ,
she was upset about claiming benefit an being labelled a single mother on benefits .....

just goes to show you cannot judge
as when we first saw her pushing a pram on this sink estate ..
I thought scum ...
anyway she got married ok but didnt have any fancy extras
as she didnt want to be in debt,
or go to the social fund unlike the chavvy family , who had limosinnes (sp?) big church wedding etc

young people  wot are they like

I wonder if B.O.B Dole was related to any of them scum bags!

My wife works as a comprehensive school teacher and every year young girls as young as 14 are leaving early to have kids.

We are also expecting our first child and during our frequent visits to the antinatal ward we have bumped into a few of these young girls who are proud as punch.

One girl said " hey miss put the father down on the birth certificate as unknown and you'll be better off with the benifits like".

Her mother had told her that.

yes he is their daddy

On a more serious note, the risks of having a healthy baby, and minimal complications for the mother are hugegly increased at this age

On the note of my usual contributions to posts - I suppose by that age, it would have just fallen out ;)

yes its best to have a baby before the body stops growing they say 17yrs is best.

Oh dear... Im preparing to take shelter but...
I think 62 is a little mature to have another child.
I am very lucky to have 3 children and I thank my lucky stars for being able to have them.
This lady already has children and I agree that the child may lose out.
Im thinking as I say this... that the mother will not be as fit and able to join in with physical stuff (and I realise thats hypocritical of me,as I was unable to do anything for some months)
I just feel.. that its not asthough this lady has been trying for life and this is her first child....
I think it is too old to have yet another child.
Benefits... yes that makes my blood boil.
I would like to not work but we cant afford that, so I work part time.
I have a cosy, lived in... house in a quiet rural place, hens, dogs, two cars (yes a skoda and a battered old estate, hee hee)
we go on holiday in a tent, my kids all have bikes and this year they got nintendo things each for christmas!
But... a relative had a child very young, didnt name the father and gets everything.
Has a house in a city in the 'nice' area next to her parents, who might aswell be the parents of the child.
This relative has a house that most hard working people couldnt afford in that area (not flat,.. house)
She goes on all these courses (all paid for but not by her)that I would love to do but apparently we earn too much!!!!! (what???)

Her child is dressed in Next gear and so is mum.
Mum can go out every weekend, has new washing machine etc and even got money towards a pram!!!!
I do not want to see any child otr person suffer hunger , cold or humiliation but this really annoys me.
The father of said child, doesnt officially live there.. we know why..
She also gets all child care paid for, transport paid for, prescriptions paid for.. someone even comes and does the garden for goodness sake!
I offered some clothes and games that were too small for my kids but her nose turned up at this!!!
We get hand me downs for my kids and we think its great!!!
Arrgghhhhh sorry to moan but hey... this annoys me.
She has no intention of working...

Im an old socialist I really believe in the welfare state ,
but not when you have not contributed to the state ,
many of these feckless scum are just lazy ,
maybe work in the community ,
single mothers given home work (many are that young they are still doing school homework ,lol)
