Savid Javid was asked when it would be introduced:

'Over 5 years'

Lets say 5 years.....oh look, thats not during the next parliament.o_O

So just a bunch of lies to get votes in swing Labour constituencies (y)

At that rate working may pay more than not working.
Not if Corbyn's plans for social security payments ever see the light of day. Then all the layabouts can keep on laying about, and Dianne Abacus will be opening the borders for all and sundry to come on over and have share of the highlife.

Who is making money out of not working?

I guess youve been reading the Daily Mail and frothing at the mouth again.
People get by on benefits, lots of people do, they manage to prioritise things and manage their money, some have even been known to buy a smart phone or new plasma TV whilst being on benefits. Other people on benefits don't prioritise things and end up at a food bank, so if some manage and others don't, are benefits too small or too large ?

It's currently £8.21.
At 3% inflation, in 5 years that will be £9.52.
So an extra pound an hour.
A little more than it has been increasing .... http://www.minimum-wage.co.uk/

It's not a massive deal really. Just sounds good to voters who want more money now and feel hard done by. They'll probably be paying more for everything else by then though!

“Social security is supposed to give people dignity and respect, not punish and police them." - JC

Dignity and respect for sitting on your arse, playing the x-box all day on the 55" flat screen, in your designer gear, in your rent-free home, while scoffing pizza delivered by the local Uber Eats.

While someone else pays for all that dignity and respect. Isn't the commie life just cookey.

Its clever the way Tories have got their followers to be angry about those on benefits, whilst the super rich get away with paying no tax.

But hey.....youve been brainwashed, just carry on :ROFLMAO:

Woody thinks it hilarious that a person has to stop working because of cancer, has to sign up for universal credit, then doesnt have any money for 5 weeks.

Woody thinks its hilarious an ex soldier with PTSD cant get any help, is not able to work and unversal credit makes him end up on the street.

Do you honestly think they'd do anything if he did?
First your angry that people are abusing the system, then you dont inform the Government because you think they wont do anything, this is the same Gov that denied a man benefits when he was terminally ill weighing 4 stone.

Sorry but thats a bogus argument.

I agree we should look into all forms of benefit abuse but you never then show any semblance of balance and contrast that with the corporate welfare doled out.

Yep. Just watched Vice movie on Amazon Prime, if you have Prime watch it, brilliant and highlights the corruption of big money.

Not seen it but watched Jurassic Park again last night. Brilliant but highlights the corruption when you recreate dinosaurs by the use of dinosaur DNA from the blood of a mosquito trapped in a piece of amber and create a theme park.
