I have little experience in the use of Torx screws and screwdrivers, but wishing to access and (hopefully) repair a Karcher window vac which has (of course!) very deep set Torx screws, I decided to purchase a set of long bladed Torx screwdrivers:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004ZFD6V6/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item

which I hope will stand the test of time.

I have also now managed to dissemble a Magimix food mixer to repair the 'pulse' button switch, which had come adrift.

I have to say that I am very pleasantly surprised how easy it is to use Torx screws and drivers. They don't slip like bladed screwdrivers and don't cam out like Pozidrive and Phillips drivers. In fact I am sufficiently impressed that I'm giving serious consideration to buying and using Torx screws for all (or most) applications in future.

If anyone has had experience in using these particular (Sealey) tools, I'd be interested to hear your opinion.

BTW, both Karcher and Magimix appliances now work perfectly!

Not used those, but other sealey are sort of mid range, DIY oriented tools. That said the torx screwdrivers seem to have good reviews, so probably ok.

The ones in the link are Siegen, which I believe is Sealeys budget brand.
You also get a Sealey "Professional" range which seems ok

All the torx screws I have purchased came with a bit so have not needed to buy any.

Torx timber screws are really for using with a powered driver, so it will be bits, and they are all really much of a muchness.

For the occasional disassembly task, any kit will do.

I like them, fantastic.

Just don't use them for fixing decking of such like if you need to remove them ever again... the heads get full of dirt and it's near impossible to clean them out without rounding them!

I have a Wera torx set and its quality
Velux are all torx and they don't give you the bits free!

Oh, I have some Torx bits (and some security ones), but I needed a long, narrow screwdriver blade!
