I'm having a boiler installed in my loft. I have a duct to use but limited space to manoever lengths of pipe in. All my water pipes are done but I have a question about the gas pipe. I won't be doing the gas pipe but corgi's have said i need to remove the plasterboard and decoration so they can fit a copper pipe in.

Is there any chance tracpipe could be used? This would eliminate the need to tear my house apart! Are corgi's familiar with this pipe. Mine had a very blank expression when i asked him about it.
Is this pipe as flexible as say coils of hep20?

The "course" is reading through a tracpipe manual and answering questions-u then get a crappy paper card sent through post to say you can install it-i doubt ill ever use it.

tracpipe is a wonderful invention, just remember it needs to be supported in the duct, with clips so access to void at equal intervals will be required.
duct ventilation is also required any gas installer will be able to refer to their refference material.
tracpipe needs to be installed as per the makers instructions, its more expensive than copper but quicker to install.
good luck.

I've used trac pipe never heard of any nonsense about needing a course
to use it. Next thing I'll need a course in how to use 22mm copper pipe.

Ran it straight under a house. Job was done in minutes that would have taken hours using straight copper.

You will need ventilation but otherwise should be quick enough to do.

Blimey, cawky, are you short of work?
Another thread worthy of the Antiques Roadshow you've dug up.

Even I could make Tracpipe joints.

Confused, it was on the top of the list.
Wasn't looking at dates of the original posting.
