NO! I DO NOT RUBBERKNECK! I will take in what is happening but will not stare!
You'll be telling us you don't daydream while you're driving next.

You can question my competance all you like, i have driven for various companies in the past, most will have you drive round the block as an assessment, the two haulage/distribution companies which give you a "driving test" plus a week in a classroom are Eddie Stobart and Asda at Portbury Dock, i have driven for both, dont get me wrong, i'm not saying i'm not going to have an accident, i'm just stating the obvious, wether i'm on my Aprilia 1000 V twin or trucking down the some A road you will find it hard to fault my driving, apart from speeding on my bike,
My comment was in support of yours. I do some work in the Asda depots and they set very high standards for the new driver tests and equally so on the refreshers for current drivers. If they don't pass, they don't drive for Asda, simples.I can only remark on Asda at Portbury, it was a test carried out by a qualified instructer, BUT then they hire in agency drivers! Some of which are extremely compitent, others dont even know pedestrians have priority at zebra crossings, i am refering to our coleagues from the east.

They still use the idea where you stuck the stickers on an A4 sheet one off every cage ?
Is it still Tibbett & Britten ?

A pedestrian only has right of way once they have "claimed" the crossing. By just saying they have right of way just perpetuates this myth that they can just wander out onto the crossing and expect cars to stop on a sixpence as they have right of way.
Far fewer know that a pedestrian has right of way if they have started to cross safely on any section of road that they are allowed to cross, but have now slowed oncoming traffic. Old grannies etc crossing the road are susceptible to this.
