We have fitted hundreds of these and as they work with existing fittings / dimmable transformers there is no new equipment to buy

Probably because the concept of democracy (i.e. the majority getting their way, regardless of the views/interests of minorities) became non-PC !

Too true John. I feel agrieved at the way society is going. We can no longer speak the truth for fear of upsetting someone. What irks me is people who seemingly go out of their way to be offended by some comment or other. It's beyond ridiculous. Everyone: stop being so bl33din precious! Chill out and live and let live 'for Darwins sake'.....

PS. Thanks for link Yorkspark. They look pretty decent uns. I have ordered a couple of Interlux 5W GU10s from Amazon as they got decent reviews. Will try them and report back.
