Hi,

I am in the process to upgrade final front doors and windows in my home. We got triple glazed 36mm on back side doors n windows for noise reduction.

For front does it make sense to just get glass panes changed(24 yr old upvc windows) or go full upgrade to triple(44mm or 36mm). Windows will be south facing. Current windows struggle to hold heat on a cloudy day.

Also has anyone heard of salamander greenEvolution 76 Premium glass and are they good?

Also whats difference between laminated vs normal glasses. which are better to hold heat or they r just safety feature ?

Thanks in advance.

Father-in-law went for triple glazing, he did keep the house on the hot side, and the humidity was getting towards the 90% due to poor ventilation as the third pain of glass was on the inside of the double-glazed ventilators, however the chicane formed when windows opened in the summer, did seem to stop flies coming into the room.
