Hi,
We're are in the early stages of a loft conversion. Finalising quotes and one of the decisions is over whether to get triple-glazed roof windows.
The fact that we're in the midst of an energy crisis, roofs are considered to be a major route of heat loss and we live in a 1930s house with solid brick walls so need all the insulation gains we can get have driven me to consider triple glazing for the roof windows.
The premium is fairly eye-watering and Velux do 3 options for triple-glazing. I've only considered the 68-glaze which looks like their entry level triple glazing but I'm wondering whether it is only price which has seen very little adoption of triple glazing in the UK?
What does the forum think?
