Tritin Ivory 4 Shower goes hot, then cold

I have a 1 year old Triton Ivory 4 shower.

My daughter complains that it runs hot/cold/hot but when I have tried it before it seemed fine. She says that it does it when she wants a hot shower so I have just tried it at the point where it is unbearably hot for me - and it does trip in and out and the light in the bathroom gets brighter every time the shower goes cold - I hope the plumber has not connected the light into the shower circuit!

I assume that this is the thermal cut-out operating. At what temperature should this trip? Is there any alternative to fitting a new shower of a different make if this is felt to be a serious problem?

What are my chances of fitting a different model of shower without having problems with the position of the supply pipe or the power supply as I do not want to have to re-tile the bathroom!

try it without the head on first.
if that fails clean the inlet filter.


the tco is a 2 stage cutout 57c thats resetable and 90c thats not resetable.
your shower should still have a yrs warranty if only a yr old.
