Trust Dixons to install gas cooker?

I would go to John Lewis - I did the same - the cooker was delivered when it should be by polite delivery people. John Lewis gave me the name of a local independant installer who came and fitted it (he had been doing installations for John Lewis for 20 years!!). Phone call from John Lewis after installation to check that everything was OK. How's that for service?

Interesting, I wondered who these 'recommended' people were; bit worried they might have been picked with a pin and seemed to remember some time back JL gave no undertakings about them. But maybe should've given that a go judging by that. But anyway, got the cooker from John Lewis and someone else has installed.

Cheers

Hi all as an employee of dsg ( dixons stores group) i can say that i book out a lot of installations along with deliveries and although the installers sometimes refuse to fit ....generally because the install was more involved than the customer said......price charged is for a straightforward fitting. We don't seem to get many complaints about the service given.
regards andy
