TS690 Battery Fault

We recently had a power cut which caused the alarm to go off and revealed the backup battery was dead.
I have now changed the battery to a new one showing a voltage in excess
of 13.5 Volts but can not clear the battery fault display.
I understood when the battery had been changed and the voltage is higher
than 10.5 volts it should automatically reset?
The red LED light on the board has now gone off after the battery had been changed - but the battery fault is still displayed.

Any ideas on how I can reset this ?

Power recycle should do the trick.
Also use the master code to set/unset.

They are a bit tempermentalon battery faults.

Do I need to disconnect the battery when turning the system on and off?

if you have a mastercode, that should reset it. or just put your code in, set the system, adn unset the system, that can sort it out. Or switch mains power off to the panel, then switch on.

I have now cleared the battery fault, but now have the message Lid Tamper, and appear to need a 4 digit code to clear this.
The alarm company looking after the system is no longer trading.
Is there an engineers code to clear this and allow me to reset the system?

try putting your code in. and pressing the clear or esc button

User code will not clear this.

The panel is set to engineer/seed code reset.


As some here think its wrong to assist in this situation, and believe me they do.
Can you prove your the owner of the system? If so a reset can be provided.

If not contact a local approved company, because your system needs reprogramming if not under a contract or monitering.

besides you cant do much without the Eng code by the looks of it. You do need to contact a local approved Co.

We purchased the alarm 10 years ago when the house was built, and bought it as a package with the new house from Macleans.
It has been properly installed as far as we can tell.

Indeed, it has been fitted correctly.
Why when the panel was opened it locked you out.
What a alarm system should do.
Engineer time.
