Compared to Sky, I reckon Auntie offers quite good value for money, especially when radio, BBC film, the world service, et al are taken into account, although I do understand folk being miffed about not having a choice in the matter.

Personally, I'm happy not having the choice.

In fact, if I had the option, I'd elect to not have the choice.

I've not got a TV! It's all ballacks anyway.

The license is an outdated tax on a home entertainment device. Nothing more. It is wasted on paying studios full of radio DJs to sit around talking rubbish for hours, buying rubbish programs and paying execs hundreds of thousands of pounds a year to schedule in repeats of things like "Only fools and horses" over and over and bloody over again. and come up with dreary soaps such as casualty and eastbenders.

I've had numerous letters attempting to criminalise/bully/intimidate me, and a visit from some ex-debt collector type. All that lot paid for by the TV tax.

And they even charge the registered blind!!

As you appear to have a PC it would seem you need a license.
