Hi,

I am installing a shower holder to acrylic and was wondering what type of plugs I would need. I tried drilling a 6mm hole but the acrylic is splitting and when tapping the plug in, the acrylic is splitting around the edges. Thanks.

Did the chuck of the drill hit the acrylic as you were drilling?

Which nylon plug are you using? And which/what drill bit did you use?

As per @foxhole 's post, you need to provide more info for others to help you.

Start with a much smaller (3mm) HSS jobber drill and work up from that.
A 6mm plug will need a 6mm hole, and don’t use a screw that is too big in diameter!
