UK inflation 80% caused by brexit

In other news, old etonian Johnson complains that he can't get by on a salary of £160,000 plus expenses and allowances plus two homes, chauffeur driven cars, and an index-linked pension.

I agree that workers'rights should be protected, and minimum pay enforced.

Sadly the nation has endured twelve years of tory misrule so it will take time, and the will, to treat ordinary people fairly.

Can you imagine, some people voted for a party that cheered when they blocked the possibility of a pay rise for nurses and other public servants?

I agree, I think it's outrageous that a senior nurses pay is capped at £115,000.00 F*****g outrageous, no wonder they're flooding the food banks.

Lots of crap there. Fact is that number relates to a few nurses. Get a PHD and become a consultant of sorts. A typical nurses pay is nothing remotely like that. You can find true numbers on the net. For some it will sound too low especially for say London but they get an additional payment if based there. It also means working 12hr shifts for a lot of them - rotating shifts to provide 24hrs a day coverage for patients. 12hrs is unusual compared with manufacture who would normally use 3x8hr and pay extra for the people working it compared with just a normal 8hr day.

:) I expected you to post again on working tax credits etc so will add recent complications. It applies in general to social financial support. Say they are all set up realistically for a reasonable standard of living at some level and things get tightened up. Oh dear. Also neglect Inflation on low cost of living items and same with increases in the minimum wage. People at this level get poorer and poorer. People can also be in a job that doesn't need benefits of any sort. They can loose the job get another and find that they qualify for them. They may loose that job too - not uncommon and then find the benefits for that take time to arrive, Weeks. Tough if some one never earns enough to save a float. The other problem is as mentioned - once doing it especially in supporting people in work how the hell do you stop it other than by increasing pay. Or maybe in some cased providing more than 16hrs work a week for them. That's not good for employment figures.

Usual tripe from a right wing supporter.

almost none earn that

  • Hmmm. 330 posts and you come up with that. Go and look at post #4 with reference to post #1 and come back and tell me about half baked truths.
Reading some of your messages tells a lot about you. Your replies on this forum only tells me that you are atleast 50 years old. Even if i look all of your 22,313 posts, my take on you wouldn't change. You are a professional - uneducated person with layman view on world discussing topics which you have no professional knowledge or a SME in that field. This is 21st century. Brexit will seriously affect all future generations as housing crisis will. Scandalous tories and Scandalous you.

It used to cost £1.50 per week per person to enjoy membership of the EU...

Bizarrely it's the same cost that has been added to a person's monday morning breakfast tipple...

"Brexit adding £1.50 to price of bottle of European wine, leading importer calculates
Cost of extra paperwork, charges and delays being passed on to consumers"

We actually paid to be told what to do by the Frogs and the Krauts? Unbelievable.

You mean that £4.50 bottle I had tonight could have cost me just £3.00 if we were in the EU? Strange that, it’s been £4.50 for at least 5 years so total bullshoite again.

How's the Ukranian family hosting coming along - they with you yet?
