Hello
Can anyone offer advice on how to simplify this underfloor heating set-up, just purchased the house and looks to have been leaking around the top isolation valve on the manifold.
Thank you

Clean it up and tighten the connection, not impressed with the live mains wires being exposed on the LHS.

It's leaking in several places, you can either strip it all down and replace all the seals etc but TBH I'd replace it all.

Get a new manifold/blending valve/pump. Strip it all out, flush the system and refit. Sort out what that switch is doing.

Can you recommend a manifold for the job ? Many thanks

Lots of manifolds available these days. They're a much of a much, the key part is the blending valve and the pump. There doesn't seem to be any control on that one, unless the pump is the control and is what that wiring may be for??

Reliance are big in the UFH components world, alongside the bigger guys Wavin(HEP)/JG/Polypipe ..... Grundfos are always good in the pump world.

Do buy branded though, don't guy generic as there is then a level of future proofing. Make sure there are service kits available, always a good idea to buy one at the time and store it for later.

I fitted an Emmetti manifold and Wilo pump which was quite straightforward, the pump only uses 4 watts on the setting I use.

Search Continal Underfloor and look for the webinars, they used to be available to view again. They did an interesting one on manifolds with a coupe of points I thought worth bearing in mind.

Don't seem to be available anymore, will keep searching though, more information is always good.

Did have a look at a lot of their stuff before but like a lot of one stop suppliers, ultimately they use re-branded parts from other manu's, Wilo pumps, ESBE blending valves which are all good. Not sure about their manifolds and if they are any better though they do state they're German made now. Not sure if that makes them any better tho these days TBH.
