Unhappy with NEIGHBOUR PUTTING UP A FENCE (Ed.)

Hi Folks

My neighbour has put up a small fence around his front lawn. Nobody in the street has done that, and the neighbour's property seems to stick out from the rest of the properties in the street.

Are there any rules as to whether you can put up a fence around your front lawn, or any height restrictions?

Where could I get more info regarding this?

You need to contact the land registry to see if the builder of the estate has put a convenant in the deeds resticting fencing of gardens https://www.gov.uk/get-information-about-property-and-land/copies-of-deeds

Probably to stop dogs sh##ing on his lawn, leave him alone FFS

If the builder put in some covenants, he will have no interest in enforcing them once he has pocketed the sale money and moved on.

It's possible that Planning Permission said something, but councils have no money for important work, never mind trivia.
