All the bathrooms with mold that I have ever seen have been those with inadequate ventilation.

Do you have proper ventilation?

Hows that S-D boiler?

i had an electrician in a while back and he said the design of the house meant there was no need to extractor fans as the ventilation was pretty good, you can always feel a gentle breeze in the bathroom!

I'll be looking at the SD this weekend, going to see if i can take apart and clean that flow switch the Chris mentioned. Do you have any tips on cleaning it, or what i should look for to see if its faulty?

I would also recommend Dow Corning 785, have also used Everbuild's Forever White but i'm not sure how that performs in the long run.

Out of interest and totally unbiased opinion we used forever white on job about 4 years ago ,I went back to the house this week to quote for new boiler and obviously went into the bathroom,the sealant was in excellent condition no mould or any other kind of problems

The bathroom has been kept meticously clean and it has humidistat fan which runs when ever it needs to ,this may help because some times its soap scum and people lack of hygiene in the sense the clean themselves but not the bathroom,some horrors we have to face makes you realise what kind of world we live in!
