Do not like West Ham.
I don’t like some other football clubs but when they are playing in Europe, they’re English so they get my support. I suppose you wanted Fiorentina to win, being a European side?

Me too. I want any British team who are playing a non British team to win.

I'm very pleased they won. Are they your team? I know you're from east London, but there are so many clubs, that who supports which one is a mystery to many outside the capital.

I think a lot of people grew up liking West Ham, in the old days, because of their style of play. Not sure if that still applies (I don't follow it as much these days). Bill Shankly, I think, once said he always liked playing West Ham because they always had a good game; and because Liverpool always won :)

Yeah. Mainly because of the fact that I grew up in that area. I’m not a mad keen football fan and I couldn’t name more than half a dozen of their players. My son and Grandson are keen Hammers followers though. Funny thing, when our grandson was talking to Mrs Mottie about his friends in nursery, he told Mrs Mottie that one of his friends was Jarrod Bowen. She believed him for a few weeks until she mentioned it to our son and he put her right. :ROFLMAO:

But you are mad!

Good to see the Hammers have got the same bus driver as the last victory parade ;)

West Ham away was always my favourite fixture as a Cardiff fan, have been to the old Upton Park ground about seven times following Cardiff and it was always a good atmosphere there, proper old school stadium. I can understand why a lot of hammers fans didn't like the move to the Olympic stadium.

West Ham had a fair proportion of the England team playing for em in the day

Bobby Moore
Martin peters
Geoff hurst

Other great West Ham players I recall

Jimmmy greaves
Phil Parkes
Trevor brooking
Billy bonds
Harry redknapp
Frank lampard senior and junior
Clyde Best

Surely you mean the other way round - England had a fair proportion of West Ham players in the 1966 world cup winning team. If you remember, ALL England's goals in that final came from West Ham players so really you could say (and many do), that West Ham won the world cup. ;) (y)

The bubble blowers got taught a lesson from The Villains yesterday. ;)
Yep. The team that beat Chelsea 3-1 were beaten 4-1 away by another team. Any idea how Chelsea got on against the Villains when they were playing them at home earlier this year? ;)
