I have a 2015 Scirocco and have found the heads to be terrible. Has any-one used OSRAM NIGHT BREAKERS UNLIMITED, these seem to be the usual replacements?

I've used the Philips equivalent in a Peugeot 508 and they're excellent . Whiter and brighter.

Ive read enough about the nightbreakers to avoid them, they dont seem to last very long. Lamps like this dont last as long as normal halogens anyway but the osrams seem to be quite bad.
Ive read nothing but good reports about the phillips equivalents.

I try not to go out after dark but mine have lasted 3 years so far. Keep your old bulbs as spares in case one of your uprated ones blows

Thanks for replies. Having seen the amount of work needed to replace these bulbs online (ie remove the whole holder), I'm inclined to go for the Phillips.
Have just looked at these bulbs, I need 4 x H7, but there seem to be many types of them, which are whiter and brighter please.

Just doing the dipped beams was good enough for me. On main beam the dipped are normally on as well.
You're lucky you don't have to remove the front bumper and the headlight to change the bulb!

Late 2012 on a 62 plate. Standard headlamps were rubbish, now quite good. My previous car had HiD Xenon headlamps so anything else was bound to seem poor .

H7 refers to the mounting base and electrical connections. Halfords (477) claims to be 50% brighter and shouldn't overheat the lamp shell. £20 each.
John :)

Mine are Extreme Vision plus 100% or so and no blue bit on the glass . £20 or so on Amazon or Ebat

They're not 100% brighter to my eyes but the light is certainly whiter compared to the orangey dim glow of the Peugeot fit bulbs. Definitely worth £20 .
