Uploading videos.

How do you upload an MP4 video?
My first attempt said it was too large so I compressed it from 51Mb to 14Mb. It was still too large so I compressed it again down to 4.92Mb Now it says it does not have a valid file extension but the files says xxxx.mp4 at the end.

Anyone got a clue as to how I upload a simple short video?

Upload to YouTube or Vimeo and share from there?

Heard of Vimeo but never used it.

Tried to upload but it just seems to freeze.
Tried setting up a new channel, as suggested in a video, and it won't let me.

I think I will get my stepson to sort it out for me tomorrow. Once he shows me how to do it I should hopefully be able to upload it.

Yeah, the average 12 year old knows more about that sort of stuff than you or I know together.

If you don’t want to use YouTube due to adverts and other video referrals then you can use a google drive. Upload it and then make it shareable. It will then give you a link.

google gives you 15gb for free.

Just beware playing copyright music or having content not suitable for a child in the video.
YT is getting very strict and taking down lots of videos at present.
