UPVC window button jammed

The button is stuck halfway on my window handle. It's pressed in and the key won't turn. The window's part open on the vent and I can't unlock it to close it.

Any ideas how I can get the button to pop back out so that I can turn the key?

You could try loosening the screw under the cover on the left, and giving the handle a wiggle.
Otherwise, it's a couple of squirts of a penetrating oil and jiggling the key and button until something happens!

Lash it with wd40.
Give it a few hours and with any luck it will pop out.
Then get down diy for new handle as I guess that one is rusty and had it.
5 min easy job to swap for new one
