Urgent help please adding keypad to electric gate

Hi. I need to urgently add a key pad to my elderly parents gates. They currently open them with key fobs or a button inside their property. However we now need to open them independently from outside with a security key pad. Can anyone please advise on this. I understand it will be wired in to the trigger circuit and you can program a set relay time to a nc or no relay. Is there a particular make & model to purchase ? Im reasonably ok with electronics through my work as a heating engineer and used to install cctv & alarms etc some years ago.

Depends on what gate controller you have , I normally fit Paxton metal keypads but it depends on what voltage is available at the controller also the act 10 metal keypad is good

Do i need to check then if its running 12 or 24 volts

Gate controller make and model …again it al comes down to what’s available at the gate and mounting positions ….pictures help

Thanks for your replies. I will go tomorrow and take lid off the adaptable box to get some info.
