Well, apart from being a lighthouse (which was his company logo) it was he who invented/sold 'Eddystone' diecast boxes. Very similar ones are still sold today, but I don't think Eddystone make them any more. I have a vast pile of electronic bits and pieces that I built in the 60s/70s which are housed in such boxes - which were regarded as the 'bee's knees' of screened enclosures at the time!
