Vaillant ecotec 24 clicking

My Vaillant boiler has been installed and operating well for 26 months. Recently it has started making a short clicking noise. This sounds like approximately 6 metalic taps in 1 to 2 seconds. It only occurs after a hot water tap has been shut off, when the pump overun completes (30 seconds). This can be heard all over the house (transmitted by the copper piping). It has been regularly serviced and still works well. Is it a problem developing with the pump/heat exchanger?

The sound you are referring too is usually the front burner door expanding and contracting against the main heat exchanger.It wont cause any lasting problems, but is just annoying. This is a job for your Gas Safe engineer who services your boiler to look at on the next service. I'd let him know before to bring a new burner door gasket kit .The seal will have to be replaced if the door is removed to inspect.
