Plain nuts - rubber, locknuts - graphite7 years ago or not this customer sounds like a right pain. I'd have left more than the old nuts behind if someone was hovering round me. Plus the next engineer can see its had a g10 seal with the old-style nuts left
Firstly why on earth were you hanging over him? Would you like someone to hang over you when you're working? Unless you're into the gay porn industry then i would assume not. It's one of my pet hates that and it's rude.
Second point - why did you open the boiler back up to check his work after he left? What right do you have to do this, are you gas safe registered? Again I assume not.
