Vaillant VR65 + VR392 + standard cylinder thermostat help

okay hopefully someone else can help on this front. Thanks for everything else Alec.

I think I'm going to try connecting up the common (brown) wire and the request for heat (red) wire to the VR65 and see if it works.

If not I think I'll have to supply the common stat with 230v supply and put the red and blue cables into the VR65, remembering to remove the red jumper from the boiler ports 3&4 as i'll now have a controller that is powered by 230v.

Result, my research paid off. The common (brown) and request for heat (red) of the cylinder stat plugged directly into the CYL x2 ports on the VR65 control box has worked. Stat now responds correctly and all working
