You could isolate the boiler underneath and see if its from the boiler or the circuit.

If circuit then there is something you have not noticed!

If boiler then its either being vapourised in the combustion chamber or its leaking and going down the condensate drain!!!

condansate drain was an idea but that would be a lot of water wouldnt it
pressure vessel seems a good bet never done it thought any thoughts

Does pressure drop to zero? or from (say) 1.5 to 0.5 and stops there?

Have exactly the same problem with my daughters vailliant ecotec831 boiler, jjust over 2 years old. It has been losing water (no idea where it goes though - no leaks to be found anywhere. She's got a top floor flat and has had complaints from the people below ) for months, strapped for cash so have been topping up system and HW and CH kick in as soon as pressure is reached. The water pressure drops to zero over a few days. Not sure if it helps diagnostics but water loss is greater/quicker when heating has been on. Any help appreciated - Happy New year to all.

What are the people in the flat below complaining about?

Oh sorry,my valiant eco Tek 825 is over pressuing on its own it does it when it is not running but quicker when heating is on I'm having to drain from it from the drain point at the radiator I was wondering if the expansion tank needs repressuring as the system got drained as one of my radiators fell of the wall ,I've read that normally if expansion tank is not pressured you get a drop in pressure,I had high water pressure coming in from the mains so i turned the pressure down but has no effect

The mains water pressure has nothing to do with the system pressure displayed on the gauge, they are connected by a filling loop which sounds as though it may be passing, ie, allowing mains water into the heating circuit.

As above, check your filling loop. You could also have an expansion issue too, but check the loop 1st.
