Yes in this instance it was a silk product. If it helps it was also a colour mixed in store to my specifications. The paint below is a pure white Crown Matt paint product. The Crown paint didnt have a good coverage but it was perfect to paint out the steel grey colour before adding the Valspar top coat. The crown paint coat was allowed to fully dry before the top coat was added, had the undercoat not been dry I would imagine that the topcoat would have simply mixed in this the coat below. The brush strokes can still be seen in the under coat and this should give a good indication of the dryness before it was over painted with the Valspar paint. The valspar paint did have excellent coverage and on reflection it had very little odour. That being said if a paint cannot stay on a wall there has to be something seriously wrong!...
