Van- full lights but no turnover

I totally agree it may stil be the starter, however it is starting completely fine now so I think it will be bad connection somewhere, just a pain to get to

I know but I won't just change the starter motor unless I know for sure. To me, it's too much a coincidence that it works fine most the time. Possibly a faulty relay. Switch?? You mean ignition switch? Wouldn't make any sense why it started in 4th when rolling back. That's too much if a coincidence

It's not something very silly like it won't turn over if it's in gear and clutch not depressed, is it?

I definitely don't start my van like that......didn't even know that would happen
Unless it was getting stuck in gear when I stopped.
I just cant seem to accces the connections. Does have oil over it which probably don't help connections.
