Hi all,

I picked up a free Vax 6131 wet vac, but the pump for the clean water supply was very weak. I stripped it down to clean it, but upon opening the end, the springs and other bits made a rapid escape :(

In the picture below, I'm quite sure the 4 parts to the left are in the correct order, and sit within the solenoid housing, but it's the 2 springs and white washer I cannot seem to get right... every combination results in no water output, even though I can feel the pump is definitely trying.

The pump is known as an CEME E407.

Any help much appreciated, before I spend £30 on a new pump.....

Yes I did the same trial an error I got mine working
Spin the piston around 180 degrees
Inside the coil is another bigger spring
I think mine got stuck cause of problems
I only had 1 oring put it inside the outlet tube
