Veritas R8 problem after blackout

Battery arrived today, I just installed it. It all seems ok, I only had to reprogram it (is this normal?).

Reprogram what exactly?

The R8 will/should hold its memory when the mains and battery are disconnected, as do most if not all of modern control panels.

I noticed that the panic button or the entry time were not set correctly... so I did reset most of the options just to be sure.

Yes it is probably like this.

I did re-program:
- number of reactivations
- external bell cut off time
- double knock for the external pir
- panic button activation
- set entry/exit time

The panel was programmed by an installer two years ago (who is out of business now) so I hope I got all necessary settings. The rest is in teh default setting...
