Very basic help needed plumbing washing machine

Really? To be totally honest, never seen any about that on this forum about too high a flow, certainly ones about slow fill/low pressure, maybe others forums?

A washing machine is usually very well regulated as far as flow is concerned - all controlled by the solenoid and pressure reducers and the size of the holes in the drawer. Some even have a bypass whereby not all the water enters the detergent drawer, it has a wide weir along the side or back that allows excess water to bypass the drawer all together, mine does that, it's called an active fill, seems to fill in half the time than our older machine did.

You're both soooo much more knowledgeable than me. In my very limited experience, I've used self cutting taps about six times, never had an issue; but certainly I see that six previous successes don't guarantee a seventh and don't plan to use one this time!

I'm still in the planning stage with this, not 100% sure where I'm going to site the machine, measuring up today. I work an enormous number of hours a week, so get very little time to do these things.

I do have a cunning plan and with pop back for advice if it looks feasible to me!

Again, thank you all so much.
