Hello,
I have an out-of-contract Visonic Powermaster alarm panel with GSM and Powerlink module.
Everything is working well, but I can't get rid of the 'sim not verified' error.
The system is connected to the tycomonitoring server.
When trying 'sim number test' under diagnostics, connection to server is successful, then 'waiting for sms'... but nothing is received... it seems that the Tyco server is not returning sms messages.
Who can help me?
Thanks!

when did it go out of contract and what sim are you using?

Thinking your not paying for the connection your not getting the service????

Thanks for your reply. The ADT panel is from 2017.
It is a normal SIM card, which is working ok. I receive SMS messages with alarm events, also Visonic-go app is functioning.
I don't need the ADT service. Why would this SIM verification be part of a service?
If it is, I am willing to pay a reasonable price.
Any suggestion?

You could try a different sim card.
The Visonic instructions state the control panel MUST be down powered before you remove sim card or install new sim.
You may also need to change some programming functions to remove ADT server telephone numbers. To do that you will need engineer code which ADT will not supply.

I tried a different sim card.... same message...
All functions are working.
I have access to the installation menu; is there another engineer code for ADT?

You may need to look at the SMS receiver number.
SMS RCVR
This number will be ADT server for text messaging.
Do not install visonic but it is a starting point.
If you have access to this part of the programming then you could change that number to a different tap service provider.
As not on contract ADT restric services.

where can I find this SMS RCVR option?
Do you mean the option PSTN/GSM RVC1 and RCV2, which are blank?
For IP receiver I entered the tycomonitoring IP address.
So I need a (cheap) service provider with SMS service for that?

would have thought if it’s on GSM a tap service number is not required as it goes straight onto the GSM network

In C.S. only I.P. RCVR is used (tycomonitoring) and private report by SMS.

When removing the IP number, the trouble message disappears, but also my connection with the server and Visonic go app...

when you say you are getting SMS are they app notifications rather than sms?

The powerlink module will be connected to the internet and would be used probably for the visonic app, which would sent notifications rather than sms but they would still go to your mobile phone.

The sim card its self was probably set up for ADT monitoring and that that has been turned off as contract has expired.

You still get notifications without the sim card in the panel??????

No, the SMS are from the GSM module and my own SIM card (private report)

well no idea without wading through the manuals in that case to find the settings. might have a look tomorrow if i get time

I haven't tried but you can try following things.

To disable the sim not verified warning:

go to Installer Mode -> Communications -> CS Reporting -> IP RCVR 1 -> CLEAR (to 000.000.000.000)
Then go to Installer Mode -> DIGNOSTICS ->...-> GSM/GPRS -> SIM Number test

This will stop the panel looking to verify the sim.
