Jcoultard, my advice to you would be fire the so called engineer and get a real boiler technician to look at he boiler. What is needed is the technician to stand in front of the boiler and carry out repairs based to on site diagnoses. To suggest remotely as to what should be done is unlikely to effec a satisfactory cure. Alternatively, call vokera and let their people fix the defect for a fixed price.
