This van registered 2021 at a healthy cost of £30000 T28 Highline came to me as a Contract Hire, within 12 months the rear door lock actuator had snapped, it's an electronic lock. Oddly at service, Volkswagen forgot to fix it, or couldn't be bothered.
The van will reach the end of its hire period in four days...
To replace the actuator I would have to buy the whole mechanism £350 plus postage from somewhere on the continent.
Today I rang a 3D Printing company, they helped me find the file on line they could use to print the actuator, actuator printed, I fitted it in the mechanism, bobs your uncle the lock is fixed...Cost me £40
