Terminal strips?

Push fit connectors?

Junction box?

It depends on the conditions really. Are wagos that expensive?

I find terminal strips good for temporary connections.

They are also ideal for central heating wiring.

What kind of cable are you joining? If not solid core I do like a through crimp :)

They do seem to be more expensive than the competition. A pack of 50 wago 221-413 is about £20 from screwfix which works out to about 40p each, while a pack of 40 of the ideal equivilent is about £11 which works out to 27.5p each.

Wagos are NOT expensive
My thoughts exactly..

Wago 221's are a no brainer for me. Ease of use, dependabilty, speed and features (e.g. maintenance free when used with wago box etc).

Unless OP will see a significant saving by bulk buying the alternatives.

No tbh I just wanted to know what are people usuojg and Whats a cheap option?

Seems like there are a few options and wago are not too expensive either . I'll probably pock some up from screwfix

Oh yes, car boots are still going strong. I have picked up some lovely tools over the years for not very much money. Knipex, Bahco, RS, Snap on, Lindsstrom, Leica etc
