Regarding the requirement for unsheathed cables to have some form of mechanical protection, is a chocbox acceptable when using wago connectors? I'll need around 80 boxes you see, which is (unless anyone knows a better supplier) £80 for wago, or £40 for choc.. if the chocbox has all the relevant features, is there a saving to be made overall using chocboxes over wagoboxes? e.g. is the cable grip faster in a wagobox to the extent that it makes more sense to throw the money at the wagobox rather than the sparky and his screwdriver?

Cheers

Provided that they remain accessible for inspection, testing and maintenenace (e.g. not under floorboards etc.), chocboxes are acceptable, but ....

There is something very wrong with that! Junction boxes of any sort are to be avoided as much as possible and, in the context of a re-wire, or something approaching that, it should usually be possible to avoid them altogether.
