Hi all,
Trying to fit a wooden blind in our window recess from Blinds2go. Followed the instructions given from B2G however think we should have done abit of further research as we now have wall plugs (red uno plugs) stuck in our window architrave. 2 questions:
1. I assume we didnt need plugs, and could have just screwed straight into architrave, but now the plugs are in there what can we do? The screws wont screw fully into the wall plug so we cant attach the brackets.
2. How can we get these wall plugs out? or at least cover them so we dont have ugly red plugs.

Will add pics to this thread, thanks for help & advice in advance.

I think your pic shows a plastered reveal. Architrave is ornamental wooden (sometimes plastic) trim. Why won't your screws go in? Did you drill the hole too shallow?

If you pull them out you are likely to have a big crater in the plaster.

Try tapping them below the surface so you can hide them with a smudge of filler. You rest the point of a screw on the hole and tap the head of the screw. Afterwards, you undo the screw to remove it.

In future, always tap your plugs below the surface of the plaster when you first install them.

You could, if necessary, try drilling the plugs out. If they get loose enough to spin they will probably pull out.

Or you could try shaving the top of the rawplug, but only if it's the collar that's protruding.
Personally, I would go for the drilling out method. But drill slowly and steadily or it might skew off at an angle.

When you drill next time, make sure your drill goes in further than the length of the screw and at least the length of the plug plus 5mm to tap it slightly below the surface.
