Washing machine pump waste

If you've got room for a tank outside within pumping range of the washing machine job gets a lot cheaper;
Washing machine under stairs, extend waste hose if necessary to get the min 1 metre up then down, drains into outside tank (with overflow for disasters and lag the pipe and tank). Submersible grey water pump in tank with float switch, whatever 32mm you need to get up and across to the stack (or better if there is a gulley trap nearby)

Is it fine externally (would it freeze)

This is why I thought the Grundfos was outsde.
