Washing or dryer

Hi All.

We are looking to move into our first rental and there are two spaces that have been left we wanted a washing machine and a separate dryer but worried that those copper pipes would be an issue to either appliance. Should the landlord be covering these before we fit any appliances?

Why would the pipes cause an issue?
Probably washing machine tap already there with those pipes?
You would think.....
My machine is under the boiler.


As for dryer. No hole to vent it through wall so you thing of getting a condensing dryer?
Id recommend ( so did Martin Lewis) a dehumidifier for around £150 to dry washing. Cost a fraction to run and you won't be creating condensation and possible mould problems.

The skirting will prevent the machine pushing back onto the pipes which look to be very neat installation. Zanussi do a good washer/dryer, which will leave a space for a dishwasher. Assume you are installing your own appliances as it is normal for LL to fit at least a WM these days.

No issue re the pipes as Wayners says. The query as to what should go where though is, where is the supply tap for the washer, the hole for the outlet pipe to connect to the sink trap and, power supply for each?
