Waste disposal unit / quooker tap problem

Trying to locate some installation guidelines for both of these devices in unison, I arrived at this page and immediately thought of @stem :ROFLMAO:

Looking @ the quooker diagrams - The waste disposal should have it's own separate waste pipe ( or the quooker should have it's own trapped waste pipe.) Simples, really. Muck and a tundish don't seem compatible.;)

Got a link for those Nige?

It's nice to be popular:). Someone else sent me this a few days ago.

More cr@p going down the drains that shouldn't. Been unblocking one today, gulley full of fat, blocked up outlet where I couldn't get, so had to rod right under the house to clear from that side.

Some info available through the website. http://www.quooker.co.uk/enuk/service/downloads

Looking at the installation guide from the quooker site, it looks as though the install has been done to spec as the relief hose is meant to be drilled and tapped into the waste pipe. Can't find any diagrams that show both appliances installed together (@Nige F did you see any for that?)
I can only guess that it's a blocked waste issue and that's gonna be fun cos this place is a Marble Palace and everything has been concealed out of reach of maintenance by the architect :cautious:. You should see where the dual 300litre UV cylinders have been located

No links - I just made my own conclusion seeing the Qwerky diagrams on t'net. Maybe the expansion discharge could be taken through an outside wall - but then it probably dribbles constantly as the water expands and heats:unsure:

A year later and they're still asking me to solve this issue!

Never happened when they first had the major refurb... "Why" they ask, is it happening now! Only thing I can think of is that the family has grown... More kids... more $hit down the waste disposal? Who knows! It's intermittent and not every time the waste disposer is used!
The whole lot is drained into a 4" pot in the floor, under the kitchen base units and goes under the floor back to "wherever" the stack is... God knows how far to a vent, so I guess back pressure is causing it to seek the tundish rather than down the drain.

I'm beginning to think about slinging the discharge out the back wall (as you suggested @Nige F and just making the clean up part of garden maintenance.
Maybe a soak-away could be used... But it's all gonna ruin the architectural hidden-ness of everything  Still, I'm the plumber not the architect so, why should I give a f€ck?

Just seen the additional remarks made since I originally commented, am I right in thinking these things 'dribble' every so often as the constantly boiling water expands via the pressure relief? What an absolute waste of water, from what is basically a gimmick.

Hey... We all "come" into AND "leave" this world dribbling! Does that mean we're all a waste of oxygen?;):ROFLMAO:
