Hi, would be very grateful if anyone out there could give me some advice on my boiler problem. I have water pouring out of the overflow constantly. It started pouring about a week ago and since then I've been too afraid to put the heating on. Last night I gave it a go and hot water was pouring out of the overflow.
About 6 months ago, water was dripping from a pipe under the boiler which a plumber came and fixed and said something about a valve that I did not understand. It has been fine from then until I noticed the overflow last week.
A new boiler is not an option at the moment so fingers crossed it will get warmer and I will just need it for a shower, if this is the case will it do any harm to turn the tap off to stop the water going into the boiler (and therefore out of the overflow) while I'm not using it- or is that a bit daft??
